    That junkie scene was amazing!

What's the story with The Fall on Sunday 9th November?? Surely, Love/Hate episode 6 is on that day?? I hope this series is not just 5 episodes?

Yeah was wondering that too. I presume they're going to put The Fall on at 10.30pm after Love Hate to try and keep the audience. Then for the following weeks The Fall will go into L/H's time slot?

Probably, that's what they are doing. I have never watched The Fall but clearly it seems aimed at the same audience?

I saw it last season and really enjoyed it; very much a psychological thriller. Would recommend it. Both RTE and BBC are showing last season repeats at the minute, presume you could get it on the player as well.

Thanks. I will definitely catch up with it. It is good to see high quality dramas.

How noelie just took what nidge said to him about fran without questioning it was ridiculous, could he not see nidge would tell him anything to get him to kill fran

Absolutely. There's been a bit of that in this season.

Also, I am sure it's been mentioned, but why the hell would Patrick kill that guy without an iota of an interrogation?

Thanks be to god Paulie is gone. Him and Siobhain was just pure ridiculous.

Siobhan interrogating Deano was painfully cringey to listen to. Sure surely even in Deano's drug induced state he'd have the cop on to realise that Siobhan could be a potential rat who could land them all in it.

For the love of me i cannot fathom how Siobhans suspicions were arose from that comment to begin with. It certainly wouldnt dwell on the average persons head although siobhan knowing the boys and their occupational hazards may have twigged that the term 'Bone to pick with you Nidgey' could have a whole extra dimension.

Deans reaction to Siobhan overhearing himself and Fran joking about having a bone to pick with him was what set it off in her head. If he had just been cool it would have passed easily. Deano is a tit

I thought Paulie was going to be more of a scary character who would prove a worthy major enemy of Nidge. Instead, Patrick/Paddy Ward has become this and I thought it would be him making an early exit. He and Fran teamed up perhaps is the main threat to Nidge now. And we cannot forget Terence either.

Paulie was a bit of a clown overall and was no asset to either Nidge nor Terence either. He seemed 100% preoccupied with Siobhan and ultimately this lead to his downfall.

He did interrogate him...the guy told him why he did it- owed drug money etc.

Patrick knew who sent him anyway.

Yep especially nidge all of a sudden knocking into aidos and hanging around outside to conveniently catch your man coming out.

As I said already, too much going on just for the sake of it, show is going around in circles.

Actually think Nidge visited the grave in the last season, surprised Mary his sister just exited the show after the Luke thing.

Yes, Nidge visited the grave in the first episode of last season. I guess the show moved away from these characters like Mary and Rosie in season 3 when it was decided to have Darren killed off. They predominated in season 1 and 2, which were about Darren's deepening involvement in crime and the two of these trying to get him away from it.

The Luke storyline was one of the more interesting side stories in Love/Hate. There was a similar type of story developing with this Chunk Rogers in season 4 but was not continued yet anyway. Last we saw Mary was her looking at a picture of Luke as a missing person. While she wanted Luke gone, she did not by the look of her approve of how!

The last mention of her was at a meeting between Darren and Lizzie in a church where Darren said she did not talk to her.

One would have to assume that since yer man is an undercover cop of some sort, Nidge seeing him coming out of Aido's house wasn't just put in there for the lolz.

Why not give it till the end of the series to see how all the bits tie in in the end?

I know but its too convenient just for nidge too suddenly hang around outside aidos house and see your man coming out.

I imagine he knew full well who had sent him.

That still explains nothing. He asked the guy NOTHING. Ridiculous. Surely even if he was confident that it was Nidge's work, he still would have wanted to be certain, just in case his life now was under threat from other sources. And, knowing it was Nidge, surely he would have wanted every last detail about the operation. The episodes lately seem to be a bit of everything just thrown in. Very little cohesion and direction.

It certainly draws a lot from real life in it's story though. I just don't see why they had to make such a ridiculous selection for their meeting spot. Just spoiled it a bit for me is all.
There is a Garda station on Pierce street and that is known for drug dealing. There is a Garda station on O Connell street and people are selling drugs there on our main street in the open and on the board walk. The Phoenix park has a Garda station and also is where rent boys sell themselves. Garda stations do not stop thuggery.Yes the local bakery does well selling donuts to cops but that's about it.So the zoo is not the strangest place in the world with so many visitors an so many exits.

Moving on what a tool Paulie was sitting on a balcony off his head. Also on the roof of the club too.Getting high does not mean thinking your Spiderman.I hope he is dead and not in the next bed beside Tommy. She can kill 2 birds with the one stone when visiting the hospital I suppose.

Of course, he knew who sent him and did not need to be told.

That is irrelevant. He still would have wanted actual details. BTW, not all possible that maybe someone else had a grudge? It was very poorly done. Even a quick scene with Patrick saying someting like: "Right, I wanna know everything that happened for you to come and shoot at me." Then a cut and then his death.

What is it with people saying the zoo has so many exits  As far as I know there's only one way in and one way out!

Anyway, they always seem to be doing their meeting outside the zoo, not actually in it.

(So I suppose that could mean there are so many means of escape since it's a wide-open area in the middle of a park. Have I answered my own question?)

Patrick even said "you'll do the country mans bidding and turn on your own".

Nidge was hanging around Nadines house because she was acting suspiciously when he was standing at the door.

I can't see how she was acting suspiciously, I mean her child appeared in the hallway which would be nothing unusual?

I'd say Paulie is dead. Hard to tell what will happen with Tommy. He opened his eyes last night. I assumed he will survive at this stage and he could remember Nidge hit him? Tommy may still be the worst threat to Nidge.

    .

No. I explained how they could have at least made out that he interrogated him. Patrick doing what he did after such a traumatic and disturbing episode makes no sense at all.

Killing a man in revenge after he shot your child makes no sense...right.

Paulie was ultimately a harmless fool and certainly no rival to Nidge, Paddy, Dano or Fran or any of the others. His reckless drug crazed parties showed how much of a liability he was. However, Terence will demand answers and will summon Nidge to Spain to explain. Perhaps, Nidge will have to sacrifice a gang member and pin it on them: Ado or Elmo. He will probably know his death was Siobhan related: but would Nidge sacrifice one of his own? He may do if he knew she was a rat and may suspect Paulie's death was due to him finding out.

Last series was a bit of a chore to watch. This one just gets better and better. Brilliant episode. I echo the praise of Patrick, fantastic acting. Although the acting by pretty much everyone in that episode was top notch.

The nit pickers on here are hilarious. Filming locations getting criticized?! Seriously!?:D

It's going from strength to strength.

I don't see there being any problem in explaining Paulie's death. Siobhán will just say they were both high (which will be confirmed by the toxicology report) and he fall off the balcony.

However, the last time Paulie met Nidge he told him that Nidge had a rat in his organisation. If Siobhán isn't convincing, Nidge could put 2 and 2 together.
