Clocks go back.. agree or disagree?

As we all know the clocks go back tonight.. go back at the end of October and go forward at the end of march.

They go back 8 weeks before the shortest day but don't go forward again until 14 weeks after the shortest day. What is that all about.

Would you prefer to see the clocks changing to stay as is, changed so they go forward at the end of February or for the whole thing to be done away with?

I don't care either way really. Its 2 days a year and one of them involves extra sleep.

It can make coverting time zones a pain in the ass but I rarely need to do that.

Thing that annoys me is, it is done at different times across the world.

US not changing until following weekend, so for 1 week, we will be 4 hours ahead of East Coast US

Its about much more than 2 days a year, it governs what time it gets dark at night and bright in the morning.

I'd prefer if it was done in such a way that we get darker mornings and brighter evenings in Winter.

I'd make it 4 months. You are right. It's not symmetric.

Why don't we just go back half an hour tonight, and then never change them again? Answer that.

The votes in these things never reflect reality. Do most people want to be in winter time all summer ( or is it summer time all year around?). Nuts.

I put mine back this evening.

I never change my clocks. That way I've got the right time half the year. With no effort involved. Same reason I leave the Christmas tree up all year.

this happens every year, the clocks actually go back to normal tonight, we're on GMT until the spring then we go to BST now were going back to GMT

if people want to get rid of it then stop putting the clocks forward in spring............or stop putting them back in October...........whatever *goes back to watching TV

If we put the clocks back tonight and in the Spring put them back again, in a few years we'll be back to 2006 and I'll know not to buy that feckin house :)

This time of year.....I agree. Extra hour in bed.

When they go forward and I lose an hour....disagree strongly.

    I love my sleep.

Dark at 5 in the evening, oh great, big success, sure who needs evenings anyway. Make the mornings dark, numbnuts, no-one normal likes mornings anyway - leave us brighter evenings.

You know Christmas is on the way when the clocks go back

I think it's stupid why do we do it anyway. Is there actually a reason?
