I've trained in with RomanGod plenty of times. Really friendly guy, seems highly dedicated. As far as all this discussion on what is 'achievable' goes, there's surely not really any reason other than awesome diet paired with even more awesome genetics, which I have to admit boggle my mind altogether, as a lvl 0 aesthetician myself. Mirin'
Haven't read the whole thread so maybe it's been covered but he's quite strong at powerlifts when I've seen him train those.
I need to start getting plans from lads like RomanGod on exactly what to eat.

Let's go on a car forum and tell guys who post pictures of nice cars they worked hard for that it's embarrassing that grown men would post such pics!

Funny thing is that if a fellow posted a pic of a his ferrari, the begruggers would wade in with exactly the same comments, waste of resources, boasting, childish, pointless etc. etc.

    Because........internet.

It's great when you know it's just their way with dealing with insecurity and jealousy, and if you call people out on stuff like this in real life they've no idea how to respond and end up looking like fools. I don't know how it's too hard for some people to just accept some people work harder than they do and be impressed and encourage them to continue rather than talking sh!t, this doesn't just relate to lifting either, if you have any significant success or change in your life you'll notice how some people close to you can get negative about it.

How much do you spend on food per week? Fair play on the prep btw.

Yeah because lean meat and rice cakes are notorious for logging up arteries.

In the picture it's just under 500, the magnum would take it into the 500s but this was just my lunch for work. Will have a large bowl of oatmeal with berries, more ice cream and a tin of tuna when I get home this evening

It's funny because I spend more on food when cutting than on a bulk. Probably because clean foods are more expensive in supermarkets and obviously the carb up itself. I would say I spend 60euro/week and the carb up would be another 20 euro so 80 altogether. On a bulk I can bring that down to 65/week altogether because I have more food items to choose from to gain weight which means I can manipulate my grocery bill and still hit my weight goals

I only do this once a week. From Monday to Thursday I was on 2100 calories and same again on Sat/Sun. I went all out on this carb up because I'm back to clean bulking next Monday. I'll be reverse dieting at first then on a steady 3800 calorie/day schedule going up 200 cals every month to limit fat gain

What's the tub of stuff next to the rice cakes? Looks yellowy.

And what kind of time frame does eating all that cover?

Wow seriously? I spent E110 a week back home when I was bulking and that was only ~3500 calorie mark. How do you keep it low? Do you do the rounds of the shops?

    Hmmmm.

    Diet is more important

You could have the best workout plan made but without a sufficient diet regime it's pointless

A good diet with a poor workout plan could still warrant gains. Obviously taking care of the two is key but from experience I see most lads fail at the diet part hence the questions

My weekly shopping list during a bulk, from memory (haven't bulked since march)

    10 tins of tuna $12
    140 eggs $12
    2 1kg bag of oatmeal $5
    1kg brazilian nuts $8
    10 chicken breasts $12
    3 blocks of cheese $9
    5 rice cakes packets $7
    Peanut butter $2

    that's about 65 euro

If i need more protein during the week you can look for steak in the reduced section of tesco. Got a sirloin for under 2 euro this week

That would be the eggs. I botched them up though lol

I'll be honest it's only half 1 and i only have 1 tin of beans, 1 Danish pastry and a chicken breast left to eat......

"Most people want big muscles but dey dont wanna be liftin no heavy-ass weights".

    :)

I did think eggs alright - had a mini dream-sequence of tucking into a big bowl of scrambled eggs - then saw they weren't on the list so wondered what magical mystery food it might be.

I would find it very hard to consume that over only a couple of hours but that's partly due to other reasons. I would imagine it takes training to eat that much in a relatively short timeframe.

I actually think most guys put too much emphasis on diet because their training porgram and intensity sucks and it generally has zero conditioning so they HAVE to work harder on their diet to make up for that gap.

Interesting... I do need to learn more about conditioning work in future.

Agree. When you train hard and are in good shape, you can get away with a lot of ****.

Definitely would agree with that. I'm awful blasé with my diet in general. I try to eat healthily as much as I can but I'm fond of eating fast food, sweets, and getting royally pissed the odd time, although I avoid fizzy drinks like the plague.

Despite this, I train very hard and am blessed with very good genetics so I'm able to stay at 10% bodyfat year round (never had it measured, just going off what I see in the mirror).

Diet is definitely the next thing I need to look at though. If I could get down to 8% for racing season I'd be a happy chappy.
