Serious amount of padding in tonight's episode.
it's kinda running out of steam a bit now, storywise

It happened off screen, nothing to do with his story, it's just some background for him really.

Frano posted on Noely Hughes's mother's grave in the last series to pay him back for knocking out his teeth.

    Poor episode

Why wouldn't Nidge know about Noalie Hughes? Fran never mentioned that he tried to shoot him?

Decent enough episode moving the plotlines into place. Shame it didn't have enough shiney things to keep the majority of the magpies happy mind...

One of his sons is dead, him and his wife have discussed it in previous episodes. Patrick goes back to the grave regularly and it's part of the reason he didn't want to leave ireland.

He has a dead son, we saw him in the graveyard a few weeks ago. He said he came back from England because he didn't like the thought of his son being buried here alone or such.

Scene at the end shows him praying in front of a mass card with a little boy's photo on it. It reads 'in memoriam'.

Granted the boy could be anyone but I think it's a fair assumption that it was his son.

When Love/Hate finishes, Fran should get his own spin-off show. Sort of like The A Team meets MacGyver meets The Equalizer.

Decent episode, nothing amazing but it sets up the second half of the series quote well..

Still a lot better than the majority of last series. Nice to see bits from previous series coming back..

But jaysus the Siobhan story line is just awful..

Yeah the first 45 mins was very poor.. They were trying to run all the plots to some sort of climax at the same time, but the viewer was not familiar enough with the characters or the subplots for it to work...

Siobhan is not feeding the Guards with any serious inside knowledge

It just showed him praying beside a "In loving memory of..." card.

He has more than one son. The one we've seen with him on it is still alive.

Worst episode of any series to date. Series just hasn't come together at all.

3 against one. that should have been like 3 fellas beating up johnny armless and he still won.

Their numbers didn't help them much because of the confined space.

Sunday evening television on RTÉ 1

A programme involving lying, cheating, double crossing, untrustworthy, and often despicable individuals.

Yep - It can only be The Week in Politics.
