gaming pc build for a pc noob

    Hi I'm planning a Gaming PC any advice as have no clue what i am at coming from console gaming for past 25 years :eek:

    1. What is your budget? 500ish

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer?counter strike, dayz and whatever other games take fancy ie cod battlefield skyrim etc.

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [Yes/No] yes

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No

    5. Do you need a monitor? Yes

    5a. If yes, what size do you need. have a 20 inch led tv if thats any use?? otherwise advice please?

    6. Are you willing to try overclocking? [Yes/No] whats overclocking??

    7. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Credit Card/Laser] laser

    8. When are you purchasing? [In x days]7 days

    9. If you need help building it, where are you based? kildare but can travel to you

    delighted after several times nearly gonna do this i am gonna take the jump

    What res is the TV? If you need to get a monitor and windows i would suggest saving up a bit more before pulling the trigger.

    That said heres a build from another thread with a similar budget

    Just got offered a swap of this for my xbox one lads what's it worth roughly and will I need to replace many components straight away?

    Old motherboard, old cpu (not compatible with newer MB/CPU, so would have to replace both if upgrading)
    RAM not compatible with new motherboards.

    Wont be as good graphically as the new consoles.

    The one on selling thread in this forum (i see you have noticed already) is much better value but needs a GPU. Bought of glynf before, no hassle, perfect condition and as described
