    That episode was so tense. Absolutely brilliant. More than made up for last week which I was a bit underwhelmed by.

    He's been working on Borstal Boy flat out, which is two and a half hours on stage full time for him, so I'd reckon he doesnt have a huge part to play in the rest of Love/Hate... I got that impression from him on the Late Late on Friday night as well..

    Amazing! I'm hoping hoping hoping that they don't clip Patrick he seems like a lovely guy and I don't want anything to happen to him. That cop was really good tonight, and I usually don't like Fran but there was a different side to him tonight, was so well done.

    I liked him imo. Was happy to see him have a real backbone against Nidge.

    RTE only seem to renew it on a year by year basis and season 6 hasnt been greenlit yet. The creator and head writer says he he already has half of next year's season ready to go.

    Fantastic episode.

    Poor Fran, he's out of it for the time being now I take it? Unless they follow him inside? Maybe Nidge arranges a hit?

    Outstanding performance from Peter Coonan there. So intense as Fran finally learns what Nidge did.

    The hit (and ambush) at the start was well done, as was the build up with Fran heading to Nidge's. Really thought Trish or Warren was going wind up a casualty at the end.

    Only minor complaint would be the big deal that was made of the cop catching Fran in possession with a gun. Seemed like the whole station was out celebrating it. Bit OTT no?

    BTW, great song during the ad for next weeks episode (London Grammar - Strong)
