Intensive Driving Courses - any experiences?

    Hey folks,

I'm back in Ireland until the new year and have a bit of time on my hands before my new job starts in January, which will see me moving back and forth between Dublin and the UK fairly regularly. Been thinking about trying to get some driving lessons in before the new gig kicks off. I have the learner's permit, but absolutely no experience behind the wheel and nobody to teach me.

That's why I've been considering going with an intensive course. I'm talking 30 hours over a week or 40 hours over a fortnight. I won't add links as I don't want to advertise anybody, but every site I'm looking at boasts a 95% pass rate on the first test.

They all have their testimonials and whatnot, but I'm looking for any real life experience with this kind of approach - anybody gone this route?

    Good plan.
But 30 hours in a week is probably a bit over the top. You will be waiting a few weeks for the driving test. So you could do 24 over three weeks. They will probably do them in multiplies of 12 now.
