what with wildstar's pretty epic fail and ESO's meh performance doesn't seem to be much confidence left in the mmorpg market right now. i think companies are finally starting to realise no one will ever recreate the success of wow.

hopefully this might lead to some genuine innovation in the genre from indie devs.

I believe pc gamer had a recent article on it which discussed this, was an mmo fps I believe.
