putting mats, chipping mats

Can anyone recommend any decent putting mats. got one before years ago and it was awful so i'm sure the technology has come along greatly to give a real green feel.

also, have a patio out the back so if i could get some sort of mat to allow me to chip up to the garden, it just might give me something to do over the winter

Can't help with the putting mat but I use a square piece of carpet cut-off for chipping off the patio. Works perfect!

In terms of putting matts I have the Eyeline Perfect Line mat

and find it good. Nice and long at 10' and has a regulation size hole as well as a more testing one. One downside is that it's a little noisy returning balls on a wooden floor.

I used a fake grass door mat for chipping off concrete for years.

I've got this one. It's a 10ft mat. Has 2 holes, one regulation size, one small hole. I spend more time putting to the small hole. It's amazing how big the regulation hole looks after you've been rolling putts in the small hole.
