Do you not think the Liverpool attack will improve when Sturridge returns? Liverpool also have good fixtures.

I think its been a bit of a transition period (as was always going to be the case - post Suarez). Sterling has managed to score well in this period, which says a lot I think. I'll be holding onto him. Although Lallana is definitely an alternative, and a bit cheaper. Played v well and involved in a lot of attacking play in last 2 PL games. I feel Liverpool will improve, with the return of Sturridge, and as the new players bed in.

I think the only game Sturridge played with Balotelli and Sterling was the 3-0 defeat of Spurs. They'll be a much better side with Sturridge in there, they can't really get much worst anyway.

I didn't see the United game at the weekend, so can anyone tell me how Falcao played - does he look match fit yet? - bringing Wilson on in 72nd minute suggests not.

Aside from his goal and an early chance that he should have scored, he certainly didn't look a constant threat by any means. Certainly still adjusting.

I disagree, thought he looked a lot sharper than RVP and his movement in the box was excellent, I was surprised he got taken off instead of RVP because he looked the most likely to get the next goal

RVP was very poor and has been all season. Still didn't think Falcao looked that dangerous outside of his 2 big chances. I'm sure he will improve on that as the season progresses though.

As soon as he starts scoring I'll be getting him in. Not sure how yet but I think he'll be must have by the end of the season

In theory Costa, Aguero and Sturridge are all must have too, which by default means none of them are must have. As in theory, I don't think anyone would be too put out by an Aguero, Sturridge, Falcao strikeforce, even though I think Costa is the strongest option of the 4.

I have falcao. I also have 2 free transfers leaving me the option to upgrade to aguero.
I'm again going to bank one transfer and watch them both again this week
    Aguero looked really really sharp
    falcao also looked sharp
    Aguero has better fixtures
Falcao has no champ league and is significantly cheaper
Be easy if one of them just gets injured on international break
    Preferably aguero :p

Has anyone looked at the best GK options/combinations for the next 6-8 GWs and beyond? Currently on a wildcard and I said I'd start with the keepers - It's a nightmare!

Mannone - Next 4 home fixtures are horrible
Forster - good fixtures for the next 5 GWs but a horrendous run after that
All the other 4.5-5 range options seem to have tough enough runs.

Unless I've missed something obvious I see 2 options:
1 - Forster + TBD, then transferring Forster out around GW13.
    2 - Go with Courtois + a 4.0 non playing sub.

Sky Sports News have just reported that according to the German FA Ozil is out for 10-12 weeks.

Interesting stuff for Sanchez and maybe Walcott?

Id go with Forster then switch to Adrian in a few weeks until the Jan wildcard. Adrian gets a lot of save points and has some decent fixtures in a few weeks.

Very low ownership from the start = low number of sales = no price drop

i thought players used to just depreciate in value also when there was no movement on them ? or am I just imagining that ?

I think you're Imagining it. The whole game is one big popularity contest regarding prices

That would have made Bojan the most expensive player in the game at the start of the season :pac:

Totally agree! A 'Dier' state of affairs, you might say...

Think I'll go with a Forster + Foster combo. West Brom have decent fixtures once Southampton hit their tough run so I get a few GWs leeway where transferring out Forster can be pushed back if other transfers take priority.

I confess Baines is the one player I'd like to get in right now. The problem is how. I wouldn't do a straight swap for Ivan, and all my attacking players have been performing (with the exception of Welbeck, but I only just got him, and fancy him to do well). Fab is one I considered downgrading, but he's been doing so well :pac::pac::pac: Also the price issue in that if you sell someone who's risen in price and then want to get them back...

We must have the same players and the same issues :)

I really really want Baines. He is already on his way to producing huge scores so he is coming in.

For me, it is Ivanovic who is getting chopped. Palace, Utd and Liverpool away in the next 4 games.

For me, Chelsea defenders are fixture proof. I'm bringing Azpi in because I was going with a cheap defence for the season start but I can actually see Chelsea going tighter at the back for their tougher fixtures.

Last season they kept the rest of the top four scoreless when playing them away. Arsenal (0-0), City (0-1) and Liverpool (0-2) all failed to score against them at their own grounds. United also did I might add (0-0).

Interesting. So how does one get Leighton Baines into their team? Chop one of Sterling, Fabregas or DiMaria.

I honestly don't see the need for Baines. The priority with a defender for me is clean sheets and Baines has 1 in 7 games now. Bar the West Brom and Palace games, where he achieved 22 points, he has 7 points in 5 games.

I'll keep an eye on him but at this price and, with Everton looking poor at the back, having Europa League football and missing players (Stones now injured long term, others like Coleman, McCarthy picking up knocks), I'm certainly in no rush to get him.

Aaah I'm gonna hold fire (for now). Too many other 'possible' transfers runnin through my mind now...

A shiny new Baines with the Jan WC is always a possibility tho :)

I will end chopping Ivanovic for Baines before next Saturday.

If it begins to backfire I will bring in Azpil for Baines as I wont be able to afford Ivanovic back due to price rises.

I think the template midfield needs to be altered too so Fabregas will be coming out for Hazard. Think I will chop Sterling too for someone like Chadli and re-invest the funds in my weak defence in the coming weeks
