Balcarrick golf club

Hi First time poster! Thinking of joining Balcarrick next year! I have been playing societies for the last couple of years! Any members on here could tell me what they think? Is it good value for the course? Is getting a booking at the weekends difficult? Does the fee include any bar levy? Thanks

Apart from a soft par 3. The last 5 holes there a are pretty tough finish.
11 to 13, are a little more forgiving - parallel holes.

I think the rating Kevin gives the course in his book is based on the old layout.
Think it got rerouted about 6/7 years ago.
Based on his rating system I'd give it maybe 71/72.

I think it's a very reasonable course - and certainly very good value.
Still has maturing to do, but a reasonable course all the same.
They're also a well run, welcoming club, and always very competitive with their membership offers.

Agree, there's a great variety of courses and value out there in Donabate.
