Any mini tuners out there?

Hi guys I am thinking of buying this mini which has had around 8k spent on a full restoration.
Its a mates dads car and its mint!

The problem is it needs setting up or tuning and don't know if there is anyone around Mayo that would be old school.

Are they tested for emissions?

Thanks for any advice as I know very little about the MPI set up

OP. This will be tested for emissions. As it is older than1994, it won't be as strict as more modern stuff.

hi plug,
dont think a 93 mini woulld have mpi,, they came out about 97 on,,,, 93 would be spi (single point injection)
good luck if you buy,, not enough minis on the road,,,,,,

Do they have a diagnostics obd plug?

They do have a diagnostic plug but only a few places have the Rover readers

+1 for Ray Cunningham at The Galway Mini Centre.
There's a guy up in Mayo too, but he is more into selling bits than mechanical work.
He's minis24se7en on the Irish minis forum.
