Don't see the big deal with the flash back, its not like it was very out of place, it was just catching you up on events to bring us up to date with the story

Can't remember but why is tommy in hospital?

End of season 4 he had a huge fit and bled from his ears etc...all resulting from Nidges crazy attack mid- season 3

Tommy is another one, his character/story is going nowhere. Slightly disappointed to see him at all this season, could have just learned that he died from his injuries at last. What are they going to do with him like?

Can't see Patrick ever taking over as a major criminal, doesn't seem to be his style at all. Elmo would be the next one up if Nidge goes down. Not a muscle man but a clever guy with a snakey side, similar to Nidge

I don't think Nidge is going anywhere and he will be on top for a long time I feel somehow. He may end up in prison but I think he will be still alive after the last episode of the last ever series.

I thought when Lizzie was in court that the camera would pan around and Dano would be in the seats waiting on her :pac:

The assumption is that Dano is dead (and he probably is). But it would be a huge surprise to if he survived and made a comeback?

didn't think it was done well at all, it did seem out of place.

might be because the first scene there was a flashforward then it was as flashbacks

    seemed off anyway

Yeah afterwards I was thinking that if he was alive he would have shown up last season but in the moment it seemed like a scene where the judge releases her, she smiles towards the seats and it pans to Dano smiling back.

Seems like an honourable chap to be fair. I would think that is more to do with his principles and seems pretty believable to me.

The guy making the pipe bombs to kill innocent people is honourable?

Last time we saw Dano was episode 4 of series 4 which was the climatic episode of that season. Nidge and Tony met up and Tony had arranged to have Dano driven out into the country and kneecapped and stabbed. We see him struggling and he lies back dead. We assume he is dead. Subsequent episodes have not mentioned him at all. But it could as a major surprise he survived.

Anything is possible in Love/Hate and storylines can be revived and redeveloped often. Perhaps, Dano's fate remains a mystery: assumption he died but he may have been saved and planning an all out war on Nidge and Tony.

I didnt like the way they turned frans character into a cry bady. Hes suppose to be a hardman.

+ 1. Fran towards the end of last season was not in the slightest bit afraid of Nidge. Nidge actually seemed fearful of Fran. Fran needs to sort out his all over the place accent, and cut out the out of place "inanyways."

I would be fairly sure the Dano storyline is over. The killing of Lizzy tonight puts that whole arc to bed. Even if Dano was still alive, he is deemed a trator and would not have any RIRA resources to start any kind of scuffle with Nidge or Tony. The only way the RIRA come back into it could be if they find out the truth about Git.

Great start, i loved the way it started slowly, too much of this instant gratification going on in tv now, the slower the better.
Im rooting for fran by the way, his a lost soul really.

Maybe its to show that behind all the hardman bravado, even these complete psychopathic individuals are scared silly when death comes knocking on their door. Not too veer too far off topic, but its reported that Ted Bundy was crying prior to execution. So its not too far fetched that behind it all, Fran is not the hard man he thinks himself to be.

Having said that, he is planning a move against Nidge. Since he is not stupid he is just biding his time. He was outgunned and outsmarted this time. He knows when to hold and when to fold.

Oh sure Byron Hadley was sobbing like a little girl when they took him away. :)

Yeah but when your caught in a trap like fran was when he thought he was going to get killed, excellent example of human physogy and nature.

    +1

Self preservation at its finest, he took a good while to speak up and ask Nidge to spare him, you could see that it grieved him to have to ask.

It was either play the lap dog or Mischa was going to wreck him.

Anyone else think a few off the accents are gone a bit ropey? Siobhan, Trish and fran's accents all seem off.

Id say Frans more higher pitched tone was to show that he is in fear for his life and vulnerable. Last year Fran had his usual gravelly self assured voice. This year he hasnt as much power

Could u not just briefly explain it. I have seen it just can't remember.

Git was murdered at the beginning of Series 3 and they ended up burying the body on Frans land. Unbeknownest to Nidge, Fran had kept the finger bone and was jokingly wagging the finger at Deano saying 'ive a bone to pick with you, this is a very serious matter'

Thought the episode had some very poor moments. The scene with the travellers sitting in the caravan on about the tracking device was just cringeworthy. ''He's on the move''. Good Lord. The Terence scenes in Spain were equally bad.

Will stick with it and see how it goes.
