Hi, I need to change the light/shaver fitting in my bathroom.
I removed the cover of the old one to reveal the wiring.

It has 4 pvc pvc single core cables in it. (and an earth)

The new 1 has a joiner block to receive a L and N

Which cables do I need to discard or block up to get new one working.

NOTE, the new fitting has a plastic backing so the earth isnt needed... just unsure if the other for are looped or SELV etc

Your gonna need to give a lot more info, what colors are the 4 pvc/pvc cables what are they currently connected in to and possibly a photo if you can.

Keep the wires as paired already, looks like it is looping to another light.

    DON'T get them mixed up.

Put the live pair of wires (should have brown insulation under the grey) into the terminal marked L (Live)

The other pair go into the terminal marked N (Neutral).

DO Keep the earths joined together in a connector as otherwise you will be removing earth protection from some other light.

MAKE SURE THE POWER IS OFF BEFORE STARTING WORK
