Are there any lans in Galway anymore?

Hey folks,

just wondering if any large lans take place in Galway anymore? Preferably lans that accept randoms like myself! Haven't actually played beside anyone since Lanfest, Clanvideo, Wired, Port and Squareyes all closed. Sure ..skype and ts is grand, but I miss the sound of someone cursing at me 3 feet away, the mass ordering of pizza, the empty monster cans and the walk of shame home at 3am with your keyboard backpack on...keeping a low profile incase u see ure X on the street.

Anyway..

People just aren't interested in LAN parties anymore. Broadband killed it off and so few games have local LAN multiplayer anymore anyway, it's more difficult to to run than it used to be.

Midlans used to be awesome craic.

Totally unhealthy and smelly, and you couldn't function come Sunday evening, but awesome all the same.

I'd do a league lan, bf 4 lan, arma 3 lan, we go online, doenst need to be just the 10 of us. The point is we have the banter slaying the french players. At least thats my memory of it

I'm hosting a Dota 2 LAN at the end of the month and the interest is really overwhelming. We're looking at almost 100 signups and the LAN we're hosting is exclusively Dota.
