SSD into late 2007 Macbook?

    Hi,

The harddrive from my old macbook from late 2007 (white one) died last week and I can't afford to buy a new one at the moment. Does anyone know whether there is any issue with replacing it with an SSD, I know I may not get the full speed potential but can it be done?

    Thanks!

According to the Crucial compatibility checker, the 2006 and 2007 macbooks will accept SSDs.

You're right to check though, some sata laptops from the same era don't.

I should be carrying out the same procedure later in the week if you'd prefer someone else to be the test dummy.
