Trust me, its a lot easier than flattening a battery cranking a diesel over to try and bleed it.
DAMHIK.
Usual procedure is to use a spanner to crack the fuel lines as they exit the pump or enter the injector and crank, and crank and crank until clear diesel comes through the system.
Tow a car at 15 Km/h in 2nd and you will blow through all the air in seconds.
