    Hi Guys

I am looking to import a BMW 5 series M Sport touring from the UK. I can't find a fully loaded one here in good condition

I have seen two options, both are immaculate from what I can see

2003 E39 reg 525d MSport touring fully loaded, silver, leather TV screen the lot, with 97,000
The dealer is asking 4,000 sterling so with VRT and all costs, RAC check, flights, ferry, that will set me back €6,700

    or

a 525i 2002 E39 Msport Touring same great spec with 135,000 miles which will set me back €5000 all in

I do 9,000 to 10,000 a year mostly short journeys. Are cars like these easy to re sell here? I plan to keep it for at least 2 years but don't want to lose my shirt. Sweet cars though!

    Thanks

€7k is mental money for a nearly 12 year old petrol E39 no matter how well speced it is imo. Wait for one to pop up over here as they go for nearly half that here due to the above average sized engine size.

The 7k one is a diesel but I think that you are right....I'm thinking with my heart and not my head on that one!
