MTV is coming to cork in a few months it seems. MTV claimed they had no interest in going to the Capital unless they were looking for heroin or a skanger accent ( Unconfirmed reports of this statement)

That event goes to Plymouth and Derry before Cork.

This puts Dublin in the category of non-MTV-crash-event cities like Rio, London and Tokyo.

The last time I watched MTV Ray Cokes was still presenting. That's the MTV I know, and it was cool as fcuk.

He quit MTV after "the Hamburg Incident", did a show called Wanted on Channel 4, and then disappeared off the radar.
He's back doing stuff in Belgium according to his Wiki page.

MTV used to be quality, early to late 90's when music was actually good. (And they actually played music then).
