With a sharp tongue and a dull wit, Twink has made no shortage of people who hate her guts. Wouldn't surprise me if someone took the dog to spite her..

that must take up all the mummified old crones time coz there is legions of them.

the whole story is a just another reason never to read the indo again

Think she might be hiding the dog upstairs and is just looking for some cheap publicity?

But then it follows that it would be equally difficult for the dog to be stolen.

This is just like Maddie McCann all over again. Soon there will be tee shirts saying Bring Teddy Home, and computer-aided images of what Teddy might look like as a fourteen-year old girl.

Laughed so hard at this! No but seriously I hope the dog is okay he's a cutie.

Twink has always annoyed me. She acts like she's famous or something, when all she's known for is doing bad panto and acting like she's an A-lister.
Get over yourself and that big inflated ego, Twink. Your dog's gone. GET OVER IT.

Twink seems to have a habit of losing her dogs. Her lurcher Mary was stolen from her house a few years ago too. She got her back after 7 months when she was picked up off the streets by a lady involved in rescue in Kerry. I lived near her at the time and remember all the posters for that dog around the place and lots of stuff on Facebook and the Pets Ireland message board which is now defunct. You'd think she's have learnt a few lessons from that incident like not leaving her dogs out unsupervised

Am actually really glad to hear that. It's obvious she was devastated and I would be too.

And they all lived happily ever after
GARDAÍ IN RATHFARNHAM have arrested a man in relation to a missing dog investigation...... He was questioned about the incident but later released without charge.

The beloved pet was tracked down following a tip-off and the granting of a search warrant.
Twink is said to be overjoyed and thrilled.

Thats made my day, so delighted Teddy was found AND an arrest was made!!! - although why was he released without charge?

its pretty standard Garda practice, they take you in and question you then release you. Then they decide if they have enough evidence to make a case against you. If they do and the DPP agree with them then they'll call the suspect in again and re-arrest them and charge them with whatever offence they've broken. From there its off to court for the judge to decide.

Not sure if I am on the right page here.............Twink has got very bad press, be it deserved or undeserved....however, her beloved dog was STOLEN from her home and she has now been re united with him.

Whatever people think about Twink personally, if she is a dog lover then she has something good going for her.

She is entitled like the rest of us to own a pet and for that pet not to be stolen from her and she is entitled for to want his safe return and be upset that he is gone. Not sure why people have an issue with this???

I dont know the woman, dont have an opinion on her either way, but am sad and understand any pet lover's anguish that her dog was stolen. The gloating from some people is only bad form.

Teddy is delighted to be back with his family too, I can imagine.

In general, too may beloved dogs are being stolen from families and in this case Twink and her family were victims and deserving of our sympathy.

On behalf of pet owners everywhere I am delighted that Teddy is back with his Mammy.

We all love our Mammies, as does Teddy, nobody is perfect.

Twink you are not helping much.
He was lost in South Dublin in, I think, Rathfarnam, where there is a shopping centre across the road. Why not give an address, or if you want to keep that private, then mention a few roads?
I'm heading out now to search South Dublin.

There is still no evidence that this dog was stolen!

This man that was arrested could have found the dog and taken it in to look after it. The Gardai have not said that he was charged with the theft of the dog and the fact is he was released without charge.

No, just someone who had a friend (not Twink either :)) have their much loved pet dog stolen recently . To say she was heartbroken would be an understatement.

Yeah Im sure he was just about to report a found dog when the guards came knocking on his door with a search warrant. It was a tip off.

Say someone is responsible for finding your beloved pet that you have wailed like a banshee over.
The person calls to your house and you don't let them in just in case they catch you in your dressing gown. You talk to them through the intercom for 20 minutes.
    Ungrateful bitch.

    Did this happen?

According to the article it did. Barry Egan and Tony Gavin visited Twink last week to do a feature on missing teddy.
Tony Gavin mentioned it to a friend in passing, who had seen 2 youngfellas with a Yorkshire terrier in a pet shop looking to know how much the dog was worth.
Info was followed up by viewing CCTV at the petshop, Twink gets her dog back.
Barry Egan phoned Twink and was thinking he had an interview with her.
She spoke to him through the intercom for 20 mins, said there was no interview, anyway she was just about to jump into the shower.

I would not let Barry Egan in to the house either.

Apparently it was because she was saving it for the Saturday Night Show gig.
