Going back to page 4245 of the AH archives, it strikes me how innocent and trouble-free they all seemed.

    Maybe that's just nostalgia.

But it is eerie, scrolling through the passing thoughts of all those people, who are probably dead now. :)

See that fella stone in the corner, he was a great footballer in his day.... And do you see that other fella asleep at the bar, he was the best welder in this Town,. blah blah blah blah blah..

Ten years ago today AH was concerned about the influx of new posters.

After Hours generally seems to be a meeting of right wing anti-immigrant, anti-welfare, anti-religion, anti-woman types of people. Not at all reflective of the real world.

You would wonder when you're walking down the street, who are these people? I have never met anyone in real life who is like that. These people aren't vocal in society at all so there's nothing to worry about, it's an interesting window into the darker side of society nonetheless.

It's my boards birthday soon, I will be 7 years old :)

Everything repeats after a while, I miss some old posters but there's also some great new posters, boards doesn't really change

I have had three lives here on boards.ie. I'm thinking it's time to wander under that star again. And then wander straight back and re-reg. Or leave for DI SPY. Boards seems very repetitive these days. It's a bit boring.

Lol, I went trawling through AH threads at that time also as it was ten years since I joined and found one of my first posts.

In the olden times, the real After Hours was called www.p45.net

I think it has become a bit more light hearted alright. I've gotten some good laughs from it lately.

You can take him off now. He is unlikely to come back any time soon.

Is that because he's already back........
