I've a mate who's always acting really bizarrely. He's always trolling online with the latest of his many personas pretending to be living this high-flying lifestyle when really he's just posting from this squalid bed****, eating cups of beans and smoking Bensons. Poor guy's only in his 30s and he's already a lost cause.

Serge? Poor fecker. Wish him well. I believe life has been tough lately.

I regularily drink with a convicted rapist and a "reformed" murderer at the local **** hole that passes for a pub in my "town" here in estonia. Currently writing a book about it.

What you're talking about really is people that are mentally not well, and I don't hang out with troubled or emotionally distraught people for kicks.

I have amended the thread title to reflect recent developments, however, you would really want to be careful about labeling people who are a bit odd as mentally ill. I know you mean well, but if anything it undermines genuine cases.

erm.. if you're the benchmark, that lad in Tescos, rolling in the freezer cabinet eating his own poo is doing grand. :D

Takes all sorts to make a world.

I said mentally not well and didn't refer to any illness. You can be unwell without one, many are. And I raised the issue as such in a thread that was made to tell stories and poke fun at people who are "different".

I'm not undermining anything except this dodgy thread you made.

Awww, who's a little cranky pants?, do you need some emotional affection that you lacked from your mother?

Is it that bizarre though? "well in his 30s" I find that part kinda funny, that you think someone in their 30s is a world apart from you. Why do you expect someone to be a different person than they were say in their 20s? Maybe he doesn't give a damn and just likes hanging out with you guys. You don't just have to be friends with your own peer group you know :D I'd say one of your friends met him on a night out and probably invited him out, then forgot about it or something like someone else said. I lived with a bunch of girls before, they met this guy out randomly and must have mentioned we needed someone for the spare room and jokingly asked him to move in, but he took them seriously and actually did move in. Then he took to playing the same beatles cd on repeat all night every night -_-

    Bizarre Situation
There's this man who hangs around with us, we have no idea where he came from. One day he was just there. He calls over to our apartment randomly and goes on nights out with us sometimes.

We're all in college and he's well in his thirties (and not a student). Sometimes he rings my friend pestering us to hang around with him. He has the mentality of a 15 year old, gets excited over things a young teen would. The really weird thing is he actually has a law degree and I think he works as a barrister or something. We find the whole situation hilarious of course.
Yeah a guy in his 60s who wears very skinny jeans and sits on the bench on the Main Street, beating spoons together, roaring obscenities at any young woman who passes him by. He always tells me how he'd "give me one" or ask me where I've been all his life. But the spoons are RELENTLESS

You guys live very sheltered lives.

I love bizarre people. They are my people.
