Hi all , I'm in the middle of installing a Boru 400i , fireplace removed , flexi flue installed , connections together and ready to fit stove in the morning.
My question is should I put rockwool all around the space surrounding the inset??
My intentions was to seal the flue space with fireproof rockwool and just fill the existing 8m flue height with vermiculite and cap the flue.
So do I need to fill the "fireplace" void around the inset box or not?
    Many thanks .

    Hi Moonshadow.
Different companies have different opinions on insulating insert stoves.
For example Stanley do not advise it.However Boru may advise it so you should probably contact them.If you have the manual see if it states it there.
From a logical point of view it makes sense to insulate the back of the insert stove to retain more heat to the room.My opinion would be to insulate it.
