I had no money, was starving, and had nothing in the cupboards + fridge...........except for a box of Paxo Cranberry & Sausage stuffing that may or may not have been gone off by quite a long time.

Certainly a high point of my Champagne Charlie lifestyle............or what I like to call Binwater Barry.

I knew students who used to go to funerals where the afters were in hotels/pubs just for the free food. They'd squirrel as many sandwiches and stuff as they could into their pockets before scarpering.

And no, it wasn't me. I had some decorum and only gatecrashed weddings.

I once tried a concoction of mince, milk and worchestershire sauce. It didn't taste too bad, but it was grey and so unappealing I actually couldn't bring myself to eat it.

Few years ago we came home from a night out, and being a bit worse for wear I wasn't arsed cooking anything so instead started eating half a loaf of stale bread with ketchup spread on it.

Pre-toasted bread loafs for the win.
