That's probably our Champions Cup XV for Leicester there with Payne possibly coming in somewhere.

    No Luke Marshall at all...

    Cave returns!

No room for Marshall on the bench when you have Bowe & Ludik on the pitch.

Their flexibility means they're the injury cover for centre, Gilroy into the back three cover in that case.

The return of Jackson and Bowe :)

That backline has the potential to run riot. Good backrow as well.

I didn't understand this talk before the season of a Cardiff revival at all really. Glasgow filleted them last week.

I found that to be quite a strange game. Lamont's try was fairly opportunistic as he robbed the ball from a ruck and ran up the blind side to score and Matawalu's first try was an intercept off a ballsed up Cardiff lineout. Glasgow were in the game til that point.

It fell through! I actually had the same question a while back!

    He's a relieved man now I'd say.

I suppose when Anscombe arrives he won't play much.

Is Gareth Davies the one who starred at the JWC alongside Jordan Williams a year or two ago?

Shame Anscombe Jnr isn't here this week.

On that though Rhys Patchell is a serious talent, are they going to develop him at 15 now?

They have plenty of out half talent in Wales at the moment.

If that back line click Cardiff could be in for a long night. Remember how Jackson and Bowe were linking up after the latter came back last season? Raging it clashes with the Leinster game.

Surprised at Humphreys on the bench, Marshall and Olding should provide adequate cover for 10. Unless it's for goalkicking.

Cracking backline. Shame it overlaps with the Leinster game.

What the hell is going on here? Last week 3 of the 4 provinces played on a Friday at the same time and this week all 4 are playing on a Friday at the same time. What a massive pain in the arse

Get used to it, I'm afraid. Both BBC NI and TG4 will show their games on a Friday, so whenever they're both the host broadcaster on a given weekend, the games will clash.

That's what sky+ is for... just don't turn the radio on and get the result before you watch it (hate that)

That's a very tasty looking Ulster team, definitely worth watching that after the Leinster game.

Both broadcasters lure you into a false sense of security and then BAM the scores from the other matches are on the screen.

I have to worry about Ulster over the next 2 months. From four to eight Ulster are threadbare with 4 quality senior back rows one of whom is reasonably injury prone and another tends to look wrecked after 60 minutes, mike McComish and three others who were recently amateurs or semi pros. In the second row there is vdm paired with Stevenson who isn't really up to it with McComb as a bench option backed up by academy prospects.

On the plus side, Ulster's next three matches are Zebre (A), Edinburgh (H) and Glasgow before the ERCC. Not the worst run of matches to fine tune and rotate the squad.

Your general point is fine but you are being a bit harsh on Stevenson IMO.

I agree with that, Stevenson has looked excellent at times when given a decent run in the Ulster side, I was hoping he'd move across to Leinster a while ago when we were a little short in that position.

Bit like McComb though, plenty of talent but seem content to be bit part players and not really fulfil their potential.
