Heard a fair bit of this today on lunch and it's really good radio. Can see them being a big hit for Today FM.

Really? Is that her? I really like her. She used to do the entertainment news on Ians programme. I always think she comes across as someone who is really into music and media and generally just very intelligent.

Heard some of it yesterday - sounded good and fresh.

Heard them give out a competition number and one of them said the number as xxx981 before giving out the correct number in the second part of the link. Understandable though in the first few days

Great to hear Dermot & Dave back on the radio and the show is as good as ever. Lots more mentions of Dermot being from Limerick though :P

Heard that " say stuff that suits the music" bit there.. brilliant. these lads are off to a very good start for me anyway

Been saying for 2 years now that the boys were wasted on local radio, Dublin or not. Delighted for them that things seem to be going well. Think Today FM is a good fit for them too. I think the 2.00-4.30 slot should get sorted now and people can get used to a settled schedule.

Heard it yesterday....couldn't stop laughing throughout. Especially that mention of FIFA at the end of one of the pieces of music!

Ah someone just said "if you could care less about x factor, there's..." Had to switch off. Ruined my day.

These guys are really really bad. Not even slightly funny. Seems the radio dial will be changed for 12 noon as the office appears to be in agreement.

I'm really enjoying them been honest

Must be a Cork thing because this is clearly one of the best radio shows on the airwaves for me! :p

The two boys are fantastic imo and I think they will given time, pull in big numbers.

So far I find them hit n' miss but it's early days yet. Not a scratch on KC's show anyway.

Not enjoying them at all so far. There's just something lacking, imo.

I tend to agree. They are fine but very forgettable. There's nothing memorable reallly about them or the show.

Are you sure your not listening to a different radio show? Dermot & Dave are class acts in my opinion. Great gags and serious messing.

I think the show is only handy so far. Don't really think the 'say stuff that suits the music' is very good. Like the bit where they make up jingles for businesses. But overall I wouldn't real be too too upset I I missed the show.

Different story with ray foley. Used really look forward to his show and often worked through lunch time while it was on. Bits like Dj jayo, jps radio police bit, singing love songs to news readers, and all the other messing that would make you laugh out load. Ann was brilliant on it too. I guess these guys need 6 months at least if not more before ill can really make up my mind. Really hope that all the posters saying there class are right as this is my first time heading them on the radio over the last few weeks!

Heard the say stuff that suits the music yesterday while stuck in traffic behind a funeral and it actually made me lol, a few of the mourners weren't best pleased though.

People still harping on about Foley 3 years later would want to get a grip, it got old fast, Jesus you can only listen to JP and Anne's forced laughter for so long, the show should have had a laugh track it was cringe.

I thought KC was an improvement but afaik his last JNLR figures were down 15000 listeners.
I try to listen to his breakfast show me on Red Fm but he's got a "local" guy Co hosting who is even more guilty of the forced laughter than JP was.
He's also picked up a bit of an attitude and he seems to think he's better than everyone because he had a stint in National radio.
When on today fm you got a sense that he was humble and modest but now he's arrogant.

I know you are supposed to give new people a few months to bed in, but meh! I'm not liking them so far, I guess 6 months down the road they will be less crap. Fingers crossed.

another show with dry fake laughing. two adult men acting like secondary school students down the back of the class. Boring, dated, dry radio.

I don't know how people can have listened to them the last few weeks and not enjoyed it. They've been great

I can't stand that guy with KC, I like KC at lot but can't listen to the other guy. Would prefer Lenny

This is truly awful muck and a pretty poor effort at retaining the afternoon audience. All of the segments feel lazy and the way they laugh at each others staged gags is cringeworthy. I've given them a fair chance but it's just way too juvenile. A very boring show. I haven't listened to them in a few days and I don't intent to again either.

I think you're being especially harsh, DnD are far better in my opinion than you're making out, their track record is proof of that as is their promotion to today FM.
