The attic tank was empty earlier and the water turned off outside.as well as the hot water valve inside. Now though the water upstairs, taps and toilets isn't working, downstairs is fine and the attic tank refills no problem. Any ideas?

Problem sorted. Had an airlock in the system I blocked the mixer tap in the kitchen with my hand and turned on the hot water and kept it blocked for a few minutes. This resulted in the hot water taps coming back on upstairs, I tried the same with the cold water in the kitchen but the pressure was too high to block it off with my hand.

I had a spare shower hose so I used that in the upstairs bathroom I held it to the hot water tap and made sure it was sealed so that the water flowed through the hose and then with the cold tap turned to on I held the hose up against this and increased the flow on the hot tap so that the water flowed into the cold tap which worked a charm.
