Wouldn't be shocked they have bought some real quality and have the same advantage we had last season of not playing in europe.

winning the league and us in turmoil is a stretch though.

they've had one good game, and we've had a bad one. that's it.

Jordan Henderson is the new Vice Captain. Well deserved I think. He's been a great player for us.

Winning 3 0 at spurs is a far more impressive result than beating qpr 4 0 at home. They will definetly be in the mix for top 4 now and I think they will finish top 4 as they have finally got some pace in the team and a couple of midfielders who can pass the ball forward.
Well deserved for henderson no problem in admitting I never thought he would be of top 4 standard. Said it at the time but that sending off against city was crucial in the end last year. Just shows how important he is to the team.

Delighted for Hendo . Along with our fullbacks he was the only player to come out the Villa game with any credit . He will thrive with the added responsibility.

That is a pretty big decision from Rodgers! Fair play to Henderson, as I wouldn't have called that, myself.

He has stepped it up again this season, imo (best player v Villa I thought as well), so its deserved. During the summer I would have said that I was sceptical about him being captain material, and perhaps I still am, but I'm happy with the call.

Future Liverpool captain, and he's still only 24.

Hendo's red card last season was pivotal (in a bad way), we really can't do without the lad, he has gone from being in Gerrard's shadow to imposing himself on the pitch regularly, tremendous.

I dunno I kinda saw it a bit. Last season I saw him a good few times having words with players like Cissohko for example and the other day against Villa, he was trying to gee up Sakho.
Stuff like that is lacking in the team to be honest.

I had actually said that I thought it would go to either Skrtel or Johnson. Happier it went to Henderson, but I am surprised.

Never thought Henderson would turn out the way he has. Should be an example to everyone of how some players take time to settle and how young players take time to mature into a role.
