Consider all diary is alien to the human body depending on who you listen to 60- 90% of humans are allergic to it in one way or form

Yeah but most of those would be non-Northern European/ non-Irish descent, and considering this is a forum mostly used by Northern Europeans, I'd doubt many of us are allergic to milk.

    You're against jizz guzzling?

Because lactating on a scale to feed an infant is a pain in the tits never mind commercial consumption.
You're not thinking of the financial rewards that come with attaching the machine to the boobs. Surely a little pain is tolerable for so much gain?

Who did you feed the muffins to?

Did they know they were breastmilk muffins?

The kids ate most of them. Myself and my husband tried them. They tasted normal. Breastmilk in tea is no good though- the fat pools on the surface :/

I have visions of an AH wine tasting....only with breasts ..... "Ah, a mature 45yo bouquet with a hint of butter milk"

Production of cows milk involves the killing of most of the male and many of the female calves born to the cows by shooting them in the head.

There might be a slight public outcry to thousands of babies being killed daily.

I get the point of killing the male calves, but the females?
Also is there not a worldwide demand for meat?seems a waste.

Fair play. When I say 'we find it repulsive', I'm talking about an irrational first reaction many of us have.

There's nothing at all weird or wrong about it, when you think about it.

It may not be a feasible enterprise for commercial gain, but it's environmentally friendly and perfectly healthy, and it seems strange to be repulsed by it.

Lots of women already do electrically pump their milk. It's just not produced in sufficient volume to be bottled and sold. It takes me about half an hour to produce 50-100mls of milk after which I need to wait for the milk to replenish. Ain't nobody got time fo' dat!

Obviously one woman would be no addition.
But if we could farm them, put 50 or 60 of them in a slatted shed...

Could we stroke them as they get pumped dry like I do to my regular cattle?

Sure. Apparently touch increases the amount of jizz juice product produced.

We can't just be milking any woman - if we want this to be a sustainable eco-business, we need to start with wimmin from Jersey.

When you look at this, don't you think it's pretty weird that we find these membranes delicious and nutritious?
No, we've been eating all these things for longer than we've been this species. It's like saying it's weird dogs eat dead birds, they eat dog food don't they.

I cant help but think human-centipede at this point.
    If only for ease of....harvesting.

Is this really true? I'm discusted if it is.

I'm already a vegetarian, might just have to go vegan. I'm also breastfeeding and it's takes about 20 minutes to pump a couple of ounces of breast milk so dint think it's for the mass market.

It's funny - I had no problem tasting my baby's formula to see what it was like (absolutely VILE, by the way, I don't know why he loves guzzling the stuff so much) ... but it would never even have occurred to me to taste my own milk in the couple of weeks I was breastfeeding at the start. I'll be honest, I'd be a bit grossed out at the idea, and I'm not even sure why. I mean, it's coming from my own body, and if it's good enough to feed my baby, no reason I should be so weird about tasting it ...

I laughed when I saw the thread title, but it's an interesting discussion alright. OK I think we can all agree that it's not practical on a large scale - but why ARE so many of us weirded out by the idea of drinking breastmilk? I wonder how many of us here would be willing to drink a glass of it? I have to say no, I can't imagine drinking either my own or someone else's. :o

    .....

yip, millions of them - about 600,000 in Victoria alone for an idea

millions of male baby chicks too - haven't much value for the business

    ( bit sudden - heed warning !!! )

I wouldn't drink a glass of it- it's so fatty, but then I wouldn't be much of a cows milk drinker either. I imagine it might be somewhat more palatable if it were homogenised. I'm surprised you didn't try your milk- I was curious and assumed most people would be too.

The government could introduce tax incentives based on breast size.

Anyone ever had a breast milk rice pudding?

Would that be explained on Urban Dictionary?

    What about a tit tapioca?

    From Urban dictionary:

I went to my grandpas house and there was tapioca in the shower!

I like a cappuccino in the AM, some amount of tit wringing to get enough milk for one-let alone the screaming & bruising-mine that would be..

ok before this gets too silly, I know it's AH and all......

Conor ye, if you stop and think about it, it is very weird to drink cows milk that is food for baby cows. However drinking human milk is not the answer :D Cows like women only produce milk during pregnancy for the purposes of feeding their respective babies. Cows and women don't continue to produce milk beyond the time necessary for the babies to grow because.......... we don't need it! It's not necessary, it's just a habit. But we still like using milk so thankfully we have so many alternatives like soy milk, almond milk, rice milk, oat milk, hemp milk etc etc, there's so many now. So why would you still use cows milk?

For ladies who pump and dump after a night out I always wondered if it would be possible to make alcoholic breastmilk icecream!

Ice-cream yes, alcoholic no. So little alcohol passes into breastmilk when the woman drinks that, she'd probably have to overdose on booze in order for her milk to make anyone even a little tiddly. (Though then she'd be dead and couldn't produce milk, so it's definitely not a goer.) Pump and dump is old, refuted advice for nursing women but the slogan is catchy so people still stick to it. In reality you can just drink reasonable amounts and keep feeding on demand.

I have drank my breastmilk and once you get over comparing it to cows' milk it really is quite delicious. Unlike cow's milk, which has an extremely mild flavour, breastmilk has a strong, dark flavours. It's sweet but complex and will vary in taste depending on all sorts of factors, from what I've been eating, to the time of day or how recently my son last nursed. I drank the most of it when I was away from my son overnight and had to express throughout the night for relief, so I drank it rather than waste it. It was great as I had a cold and sore throat at the time and the milk immediately took away the pain in my throat, so I snorted a little and my sinuses cleared within minutes.

While it's not ever going to be a normal adult human food stuff it's medicinal uses should be explored further and if milk bank donations increase enough, used beyond just feeding babies. Having spent a lot of time in the last year around someone in the end stage of terminal cancer, I know that getting sufficient, easily digestible nutrition is very difficult for many very ill people and breastmilk is just about the most nutritious and easily digestible food there is. If provided to people who are having difficulty eating but who badly need sustenance it could provide relief from pain and while helping their bodies get the energy they need.

The IceCreamists in Covent Garden, London brought out Baby Gaga ice cream a few years ago. It was made from breast milk but they were forced to stop selling it because of complaints from the public and health concerns from Westminster Council. They got incredible publicity out of it though.

I've tasted breast milk a few times - it's surprising sweet but very watery.
