    To think people say golf isn't a dangerous sport. Friend of mine got hit in the ankle with a stray ball while playing recently, bruise was black and the swelling was unbelievable. Luckily for the guy that hit him, he couldn't find him.

    The professionals are the worst offenders, surely their caddies could shout Fore on their behalf !!
    It's nearly happened most of us, not nice..

    Until there is a USPGA/R&A ruling there will be plenty of pros and their caddies who will not shout it because of the missed advantage (ball bouncing back to play).
    What happened to this golfer happens frequently to spectators. Only news because it was a competitor.

    So, over to the ruling bodies...

    I suggested it a few weeks back here that the spectators at the tee should scream fore if a shot is wayward.
    Afterall theyre quick enough to scream mashed potatoes
