This is just me being curious however,

Would anyone know who got the Garda escort from the Kingsley Hotel this afternoon?
1 Garda stopping trafic; 2 Garda Out-riders; parked marked Garda car with 2-inside directly opposite the hotel; presumably a Garda driver of main car and a few cars in the entourage en-toe.

Huge Garda presence around Cork City today also, maybe always that way but I'm seldom in the City. I done the hop-on, hop-off tour of the City today for the 1st time and enjoyed it I must say; finally got some work of mine soft-bound in Hubert book-binding (reason for my visit today) ;managed to increase my clothing wardrbobe and had some lovely lunch to go also :) Just a Lovely morning and afternoon in the the City today.

Just as I was leaving the City I saw this.

As I said, just me being curious,
    Many Thanks,
    kerry4sam

The Taoiseach was in Cork today to announce jobs at the Mater private, I would say all the extra Gardai were around because of that, I'm not sure why it was specifically at the Kingsley but he visited a few places in the City,

Edit: Xantia was ahead of me!

I just happened to catch the above-mentioned at the Kingsley as I left the City today.

    Thank You though,

The Kingsley and Fota are now owned by the Chinese.
He and his ilk are having a 'think in' at Fota

That answers my question. I was up at the airport today and there were two very fancy private planes. I presume that they were linked to all of this.

Funny isn't it? Enda announces new jobs at a private hospital while public hospital beds are closing again.
