Desperate, cynical or just all round good eggs? Free new album out today on iTunes. Doesn't sound that bad off a quick listen. Will you be downloading it?

If they post the taxes on the income from it...

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

U2 should stop trying to be hipster and modern. Their earlier (now much earlier) stuff was unreal. Great melodies but a lot of the newer releases just smack of trying to hard to be something they are not.

I'm no U2 fan but it's alright, some good tracks.
    Plus I love free shit.

This new album sounds closer to War and Boy than to recent stuff

The struggle to remain relevant. They lost it a while ago.

Every one of their albums to date has had 2 or 3 undeniably great songs and the rest have been U2 trying too hard. It's nothing new.

And it only took three posts before someone mentioned taxes. I think Bono can be a bit sanctimonious at times but overall he and U2 have done a hell of a lot more for Ireland and the world than any of the moaners who take any opportunity at all to bitch about them.

Will probably listen to the album at some point. Most U2 albums are pretty hit-and-miss but if you took the best bits off of all of them you'd have a great collection.

No no no no!!!!!! Sir hang your head in shame!
Metallica have some of the best music I've ever heard. Yeah they may be changin it up but they'll always be remembered for greatest music.
U2 and that bono w4nker have always seen Shiite.
They could be giving they're cd in me letterbox and I still wouldn't listen to them.

It's absolute garbage. They should quit while they still can. Maybe take a leaf out of REM's book and go out on a high.....oh wait, that'd be too late.
