Sky August update - New symbol rates

I have read that Sky released an update in August to allow symbol rates other than 22.0 & 27.5 meaning we should be able to pick up BBC ONE HD and ITV HD. I have an old Samsung box and I tried getting the latest update via power on holding the back button but when I go to add channels I still only have the option for 22 and 27.5. Does anyone know how I might avail of the new symbol rates? Thanks

No, you just have to wait until your box gets the new software update, it's not available via forced update for your box as yet. Have a look at this link:

just powered up my sky hd box and went into add other channels the symbol rates etc are now up

stv hd 10994 h 22000 5/6 dvbs qpsk
bbc hd ni 10847 v 23000 2/3 s2 8psk
bbc 1 wales Scotland 11024 h 23000 2/3 s2 8psk
itv hd 11097 v 23000 2/3 s2 8psk
itv hf 11068 v 23000 2/3 s2 8psk

that's the model I have, just use it for the setanta sub, I am not a sky subscriber
