Day out Kayaking

Hi,

My friend and I are looking to get into Kayaking.

Before we commit to buying all the gear / doing the training we wanted to jave a few fun days out on the rivers / lakes ( under guides of course )

I've seen a few places online offering trips etc.

Just want to hear from you guys whats good out there.

We are from Dublin / early 30's / We have both been a few times before years ago ( over 10 years for both of us )

The best way is to get training and start from there.

Canoeing Ireland run courses, the last weekend course looks to be this coming weekend:

After that they run trips at the weekends covering lots of topics:

I know.. but thats not what i'm looking for right now...

As I said before we start the training etc we want to do some fun things.. I'm sure there are places what cater for beginners with no training.

I done the Canadian canoe trip with them. Brought my two kids & it was the best experience. Learned loads too.

They also do kayaking.

After it, I bought my own canoe & we do regular trips lost weekends now.

They are very reasonably priced too.

http://kayaking.ie/ run some tours on the river and also in the Sea from Dalkey and they are very good.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, I am curious, why do you want to avoid training? What makes it unattractive? What are you expecting from a day on a tour compared to training?
