VRT on Car export question

Hello Im looking for some advice from someone who has knowledge in the area of VRT. Bought a car last year in UK and trading in for a different vehicle in the UK again. How long does it take revenue to return the VRT after I export the car. I understand it needs to be examined prior to taking it back to UK again.

It takes about 2/3 weeks to get the cheque but you need to do the export examination first then the car needs to be registered with the dvla before you can send the claim in
