Sky tv not working

So basically last night the tv wouldn't turn off which i believed was because the batteries in the remote stopped working so i flicked the switch to turn the thing off. When i go to to turn the tv, sky isn't working and it is connecting cos the red light in the box appears when pressing the button for sky. Any advice? No…

Plug out from sky box out from wall..leave for 2 minutes. Plug it back in again
