    Yes..with regards to music, these days most of it is awful. Personally for me it's Alexander Coe from wales (sasha) and John Digweed..Both Djs and and incredibly talented producers, I'm still in awe about their stuff from 25 years ago.
    Usually I get the glazed over look when I mention the word DJ, but I'm sure those in the know understand.

    So..what musician gives you a 'gee up' in life? :)

    A love supreme is an album I can put on at any time in any mood. It's just connects for whatever reason.

    I know the feeling :( I skipped the chance to see Versailles when they played in London a few years back, seriously regret it because they've since broken up :( Kinda learned a lesson there.

    But I did get to see Rammstein live :)

    Edit: Actually I'm also rather gutted that the singer from D, Asagi, is having health problems and the band are on hiatus, they were one band I seriously wanted to see live

    Grant Green, one of the giants of jazz guitar, should really be better known than he is. The below track is simply sublime. Even if you're not a jazz fan its sheer melodious beauty should put a smile on your face.

    Did the same with Manowar. I actually even emailed Joey DeMaio a few years back asking for a gig in ROI to which he responded that not for the moment, etc..

    FFW;

    I am sitting in "The Pint" in 2010 and a friend tells me they played a few months back. Ahhh, my pain was unbearable!!!

    Herself is a big fan of Manowar, not my thing though, but sucks to miss out on something. I'd say if there's someone you want to see, see them! I went over to London for Girugamesh's show a few months back, and I'm damn glad I did! They were absolutely incredible!

    Neil Young. One of the greatest songwriters ever. Still making great music after about 50 years in the music industry. Also, he's never afraid to do whatever he wants and doesn't care what anyone (including the fans) think.
