Are doctors notes banned because my GP told me that she couldn't give me a note to excuse myself from pe due to medical reasons? She said it was banned 4 years ago...is this true?

No they aren't banned. In fact most schools insist on a doctors note to be excused. Maybe the doctor just felt you had no reason to be excused...

Schools can't make you do PE anyway. I showed up twice in 6th year
