It's not difficult, most of the time they make an ass of themselves.

Did he talk with a grandiose demeanor, as to elevate oneself from the drivel this man erupts from ones pusshole. Liked him better when he was winding up 'unts-heads' on MTV Dance. /pouts.

He's one of the most misunderstood geniuses to ever live. Every video of him is incredible. I'd love to meet him one day and have a chat.

He makes a load of damn good points and a few zingers where the twats at Fox news are concerend. "maybe take a little more time reading the dictionary" Buuuurn. I'm no particular Brand acolyte. I think he's a bit too much of a hippie for me personally, but he is a damned intelligent bloke who does hit the target with stuff like this. In fairness Fox "news" are an easy target. It's akin to me beating up an overactive unruly toddler. But at least he's doing it and tilting at windmills and sacred cows in some quarters. Kudos you hippie bastard you. :) Keep at it.

I have to admit I do love givens and sacred cows getting a kick in the nuts from time to time. It tends to even up the bullshít.

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

    Meh, I like him.

Also, saw the clip the other day, and he talks some good sense in it.

Don't get me started on that fúcking "revolution" of his. What a gobshíte.

Fox news must just randomly pick people off the street to present there news, i dunno how they get away with calling what there doing "News" its a joke lol It makes me appreciate RTE news so much more! lol

The only "owning" I saw going on there was the guy on Fox saying "This is the worst thing Brand has ever done, and I've seen "Arthur""

    Brand's shtick is grating.

Did someone actually pay for a study that poverty leads to crime?

In other studies, where there is an ocean, there is water…

Was that the Rubberbandits at the end?

Yes, they wrote the shows jingle and have appeared on a few of the shows also.

I think he is an excellent comedian, seen him many times and will do again, hopefully, but imo, I think the guy also happens to be a moron.

An excellent vocabulary does not an intelligent person make.

Anyone that has watched all his videos (which I have) will know that the drum that this guy keeps beating is that people need to take as much power away from corporations and Government as possible and that we should not fear immigration, no matter what the numbers.

He regularly reads the YouTube comments while making a video and will just piss himself laughing when anyone mentions the immigration level (which they do, all the time) and say that the powers that be want you to fear them and focus on them to take your mind off what they are doing with all the money.

His idealistic views on world politics, are pretty much what you would find being bandied around any student bar but most people tend to grow up when they leave college and realize that the world can't be run border-less (as Brand keeps childish suggesting it should be).

Being 'right on' is what drives him. He opened the paper in one video a few weeks back and there was a picture of Stella McCartney and few models and he said something like 'Look at this superficial image where they just want to show you pretty women and are not at all concerned with anything else about the women other than that'. It was complete and utter nonsense as the picture was alongside a story. Would he say the same if it was George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Affleck, Damon etc, pictured in tuxes leaving the Oscars? Of course not.

Brand constantly, and nauseatingly, goes on and on about how the media all have their own particular narrative (and I agree, they do - of course they do) but nobody adheres to a particular predetermined narrative more than Russell Brand does. He sees EVERYTHING thorough his own narrow little pinhole on the world and refuses to see anyone else's point on issues, let alone take them on board. He uses his comedic skills to gloss over the occasions when he is owned and manipulates the viewer into laughing as he does it and so you get tricked into believing he was right but it's only later when you think back on what he actually said, that you realize that the guy was full of **** and that what he said made little or no sense.

Some issues he is right about, for sure, I'm not saying he is wrongheaded on every issue he has tackled, but 90% of the time he is just waffling and regurgitating the same old (at this stage) tired lines about how the people with all the money in the world need to be toppled and when they are, the revolution will set the poverty stricken free. As I say: idealistic student shite. With regards to Fox News, they are clowns at the best of times, but Brand had implied that the black guy was being a traitor to his race, in one of his videos, just by being on Fox News and airing the opinion that he did. They called him a racist and tbf.. they had a point.

His running battle with Sean Hannity/Fox is hilarious, shows up Fox for exactly what it is and in a genuinely funny way also

He is a supporter of what David Lynch is doing so I have a lot of respect for him.

To be fair the job of making Fox News appear stupid is one that more or less does itself.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

Well more like introducing meditation to school children, war veterans and other groups

Like others, I do agree with some of his points - I think he's intelligent (about some stuff) and articulate. It's bizarre the way these are deemed such amazing traits though - is it maybe because they're not expected of him?
I think he veers into the unrealistic at times though and can come across as a studenty head with tunnel vision.

I'm suspicious about his "feminism" too - wasn't he a pure womaniser and didn't exactly speak respectfully about Fawlty Towers' Manuel's daughter? I know also that there's nothing wrong with speaking out against economic inequality even if you're rich, but I'm not sure I can take seriously the whole full-on "Capitalism is evil" thing from someone who enjoys the trappings of wealth either.

I don't think he's insincere a lot of the time at all - I think he's got tremendous passion; I just think he's a bit naive.

Certainly though, it's Fox that comes off as the bunch of cnuts in this instance. But I'd question someone viewing a black person as a traitor to their race without knowing that black person - I can sort of see where Brand is coming from about that guy (self loathing is a scourge IMO) but it's a hell of an accusation to make. There is nothing wrong with acknowledging problems within your own community - it's for its benefit if anything, IMO.

Lost any respect I had for him (and Jonathan Ross) after the Andrew Sachs thing. Wasn't much respect there to start with in fairness.

The words 'attention seeking knob' spring to mind.

Fox News is a pretty informative station, now that I think of it.

Yes FOX News is a load of bullshít, conservative propaganda. But we didn't exactly need Russell Brand to inform us about that, plus he's also an idiot with stupid political beliefs and a terribly unfunny comedy routine. I do like FOX bashing though..
