Opel corsa losing power

Hi there I have an Opel corsa 1litre 2011. I brought it to the garage twice as it keeps losing power and the engine emissions lights turns on or starts flashing. The garage could not find a problem but advised me to bring it to my Opel garage as their machine to hook it up to might be more advanced. It has been happening the last few weeks and is very frustrating as my car is such low power already! Anyone have an idea what might be wrong?

I have it booked in for Friday morning with the Opel garage. It's just I know that the big garages usually charge more so I'm worried I will be charged a lot. The fact it's a quite new car I'm surprised the car is giving me this problem

The dealers will have dedicated diagnostic equipment so they should be able to read fault codes that are not visible to some open-market code readers. You can get the dealer to read the codes for you and take the results back to your "garage" if you wish. If the Corsa throws up a fairly "normal" code I would have to wonder about a "garage" that was not able to read it.

BTW: Are you sure the car is not still in warranty? If not you might still get "good will" because the warranty is only recently expired.

emissions lights may suggest the o2 sensor is picking up an over fuel or under fuel which in turn might suggest a faulty mass airflow sensor. this could lead to a loss of power.

I was driving it today as I have no other way to work. It was stuttering again..usually happens when I'm changing up gears. Hopefully the problem is detected by Opel and it doesn't cost too much!
Unfortunately it is out of warranty since last year.
