Down from 200 in ireland to 241 myself but have 5 players tomorrow, including captain Ramsey. Gutted I withdrew captaincy from Costa but given risk it was the right call: withdraw captaincy while not having a knee jerk benching. Hopefully Ramsey half performs...

    Puncheon

    GW1 - Red card
    GW2 - suspended
    GW3 - a goal and a bonus and he's my third sub

Maybe he's this season's "Royston Drenthe"

sorry for saying the name out loud

It's not a subjective thing. It's based on stats, i.e. successful/unsuccessful tackles, clearances, interceptions etc. If he got the bonus points, he merited them in accordance to how they're awarded. It's not perfect, but that's how it is. Goalkeepers are very unlikely to get any bonus points in this system.

46 points with Sterling and Hutton left to play....Top 18k in the world... Horrrrpy days, think I'll have another drink

Thought had a good GW with 44 and 3 to play, Ramsay, Chambers and Sterling but seems average on here.
Then again, its only usually ppl he do well or terrible that post scores.

Eitehr way its red button time

Wathcing MOTD, Sigurdsson really is top notch. Criminally under/mis-used by Spurs. Monk doing a surprisingly good job.

The amazing thing for me is that you're only 30 points ahead of me but 137k or something places. Shows it'll take another good few GWs until we'll be able to see how we're really shaping up.

You think for a second that my ability to moderate a forum is somehow affected by having a good/bad day at FPL? I'll probably get in trouble for not banning you for this comment but I want to draw a line under this.

I have warned people twice about this type of behaviour. As a community, we are really good at being supportive for one another. These type of posts are going to annoy people, make the matchday threads tougher to moderate and split the community, and if they are allowed to continue, it will drive some posters off. Since the start of the season, this type of thing is beginning to cause hassle and so it was decided to take action.

If you want to discuss this warning, feel free to contact a category moderator.

Look i didn't realise so many people would get in a huff about it (and a good many people, like myself, didn't see it as something to get upset about it) i was just taken aback when i found an official warning in my inbox, a long with the public admonishment - a bit o.t.t. i.m.o.! - for a comment that was posted amid the mid-matchday drama with no bad intentions...

anyway point noted - i'll know not to post likewise again since i now know it grinds some peoples' gears. i'm all about good natured discussion/banter

at the same time i expect you'll respect that i've responded publicly, you know, since you went out of your way to hand out the warning to me and let it be known to all (a private word, not an official warning, would have been sufficient, but that's just my take on it). i'm a good guy and i didn't appreciate the way it was handled.

cheers, that's all from me on this matter,

30 points is nearly 20% more than you have though. At the end of the season that would probably be nearly 400 points so you can see why there is such a ranking gap from that viewpoint.

36 points with Lloris, Chambers, Moore, Hutton and Ramsey.
Red arrows and don't expect it to be changed after tomorrow.

Once again very happy with my bench - if any of the defenders above doesn't start tomorrow Pieters steps in:D
Naismith available if Ramsey doesn't start (very unlikely).

Costa saved the day, I am glad I didn't panic.

You are making assumptions about how a moderator is supposed to do their job, assumptions that are way off the mark.

I warned the community twice in recent weeks about these type of remarks. They do nothing for the forum. They only aggravate people, meaning the mods have to spend more of their free time watching boards on the weekends. FSA is one of the most self-sufficient forums on boards but it is faltering in recent weeks due to posts like "haha look at the muppets who did this" or "lol at XXXXX owners".

I gave you a warning (a yellow card, which automatically sends a generic warning message to the person in question), and posted a further warning to others that posts like this will not be tolerated, and that anyone who wants to post like this can post elsewhere. I used to frequent FFS forums on matchday but they have become unbearable thanks to people having a go at their fellow managers.

You have insulted my moderating on the forum, and here again, you are doing the same by saying I am going out of my way to hand out the warning.

This is the end of the discussion.

Again, if you feel hard done by, contact the category moderators.

You're looking at the stats for 2.5 weeks though (GW3 hasn't finished). This is a marathon, not a sprint.

Last year to finish at 1557 I got 2462 points. 30 points is 1.21% of 2462. 30 points in this game is very little. A good captaincy choice some weeks could get you near 40 points.

Agree with that - 2 guys got ahead of me last season in last 3 weeks - my 60 points advantage made me too confident at that time.

To get anywhere near 40 points by captaincy itself we would have to bring Suarez, though;)

Aguero is capable of it. RVP has done it in the past.

Hazard last season with his hat trick against Villa too.

Hey is Alex Bruce likely to start for Hull tomorrow and going forward in the future? Last I heard he was off to Blackburb but if he's sticking around a likely to be a starter I'll hang on to him

Good chance he'll play tomorrow with Chester suspended. After that his chances don't look good I'm afraid - they were already iffy and even more so now with the arrival of Dawson from Spurs

Did they change the system this year? Last year players didnt lose value if they were out injured. No matter how many people transferred out

That wasn't the case last year. Just a higher number of transfers needed but they can still drop.

Well that's my point. You're looking at stats for 2.5 weeks and expressing surprise at the gap in places over 30 points.

Of course 30 points is relatively little at the end. But at the moment it is alot, nearly 20% of your score.

    That's all I'm saying.

53 pts with two to play. Overall 190pts and a rank of 1003. Over the moon with that.

My Christmas wish list is a little early but hopefully Santa can do me a favour now while he has some spare time...

Aston Villa 1 - 1 Hull (Hutton OG, Bruce OG)
Spurs 1 - 1 Liverpool (Sterling OG, Eriksen OG)
Leicester 0 - 6 Arsenal (Ramsey double hat-trick, all assisted by Debuchy)

I don't think this is too much to ask...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,136 ✭✭✭✭dahat

If Aston villa land another CS I will flip, rivals in my cash league till Xmas Day have doubled up on Villa so far.

Really frustrating and proving tricky to stay in touch expecially as it is a short league.

Could do with 2-2 with Ade and Sterling getting a brace each.

I'm off to watch Mr Peabody and Sherman.
