Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm not sure how they managed that - so didn't believe it - but it's a strange one all round!

    That's the one!

But how did they manage it I would love to know - there are usually only 3 matches made available...

Very late in the day I know, but seeing as we are doing the FA Cup. This feed for Stevenage Everton on 12.5 West, channel name Pitch Unbranded. English commentary, flagged as encrypted but FTA. Not very strong 7.7 dB with me.

AGC works overtime. With BUs its easily +10% in the difference over everyday lnbs. If only they made bullet ones but I guess the design explains part of the better performance.

Comments: Russian(?) Football. Possibly EPL later

The regular Russian feed on 10 East. In case anyone wants to check what reception is like with the weather, if there is EPL later. 9.6 dB with me, plenty of signal. Also TV Zimbo is still very strong, should be a 3pm game there.

I see the 7 east feeds are there today again. But not FTA, encoded in biss?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,386 ✭✭✭✭dxhound2005

Yes, five games there today but in BISS. We have to take whatever crumbs of FTA we can get from the table from time to time. The Russian feed on 10 East is showing a Winter Olympics loop at the moment.

    Yes, encrypted.

The only game which may be FTA today is a 3 pm kickoff on TV Zimbo, 10 East. I noticed their signal was way down during the week but it is very strong again now, 15 dB.

Whenever the feeds are FTA they are usually in English. The only exception is the Russian feed on 10 East. Anyway not much from those quarters lately so all we have is a 3pm Saturday game from Zimbo in Portougese. They showed Chelsea Fulham yesterday.

Canal+ Liga campeones spain have what they call a "carrousel" on Saturdays.
they jump around the grounds as it happens.
    Very good.
You can switch off the Spanish language and get a crowd only coverage.

A couple of points to make on this but the most important one is that this coverage is not FTA.

The channel is actually Multideporte (usually 1, although it moved last week to 5 because of Oscar coverage).

And, finally, most weeks the Spanish language is on both channels leaving no other option.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 456 ✭✭brian_gall85

Plus the Spanish language option is the best part of the coverage, listening to them say "Ciettyyy" and the Spanish/Scouse guy cracks my other half up every Saturday afternoon :D

I did not say anything about FTA.
Why is this pedantic point "most important"?

You're in the wrong thread then. The clue is in the title.

Well, I suppose you actually got the channel wrong and the language options too so maybe you're right.

Mind you, I'm not sure how pedantic it is to expect a thread whose point of existence is to highlight FTA coverage of the Premier League to contain mentioned of channels or feeds that are, well, FTA.

Cheers lads. I caught the end of it on this feed. I'll have more of a play this evening with the feeds but 23.5 east is a strong one for me and I've also got a fixed dish on 23.5 feeding bedrooms!

If you already have it tuned in it would be a great help for users with some receivers if you'd mention what the FEC is (it's 7/8 DVB-S2 QPSK)
