Don't be too quick to slag the guy for poor maintenance. The twincharged 1.4 TSI is well known for causing a butt load of issues including throwing a rod and stretching the timing chain. They only made the twincharge for 3 years for good reason.

I thought they were still selling TSI's?

Not twin charged like that anymore. That particular version was discontinued and replaced with turbocharged only ones.

    "Lady owner" :pac:

When did VAG cars become the marque of choice to skangerise amongst the particular demographic that's partial to that nonsense? It was always 306s and the like back when I was in school iirc.

    Nct till 2015!!!!
So the NCT doesn't expire within the next 4 months. This amazing, incredible fact is apparently worth no fewer than 4 exclamation marks, one per month perhaps?

Seeing lady owner automatically springs the following to mind....
It's never/rarely been checked for oil
The alloys will be badly Kerbed
There'll literally be a years supply of bobby clips lying in the most random places

As a lady driver I do check the oil, don't use bobby pins, alloys are perfect as some of us females can actually park :P
    Generalisation much :P

Been awhile since you and I were in school so it's all Audi's and BMW's now ;)

Yeah based on my experiences in cars with members of the fairer sex, I'd probably consider "Lady Owner" to be a negative tbh! :pac:

I knew I'd upset you (and stheno of she sees it!)
From experience, that's what I've always come across.
The few women that do all the above....don't tick the stereotypical advantages of a typical lady owner because they know what the accelerator is for!

Checking it for oil my mother won't even put diesel in here car :pac: either me or my dad have to do it. So as for her going to check the oil or anything mechanical not a hope. All that really happens is any mark or scratch that appears on her car is everyone else's fault and If you even try to accuse her good luck.

What comfort would one have with "slamming" a car so excessively. Any little bump and it would catch the arch, no? Had the pleasure of seeing a lad with a car the same if not even more lowered, trying to manoeuvre his way over a big enough ramp the other day. He had to go over it at an angle of about 45 degrees, crossing over to the other side of the road in the meantime!

Its one of those fads that I really dont get. Its not comfortable, practical and it doesnt even make the car look better (quite the opposite in fact). Each to their own but while its fine on a show car that will most likely be trailered all over the place, for a road going car its just pointless.
