Drogba at 6.4 be nearly worth a punt, though luckily for Chelsea the international break will give him time to rest.

6 weeks out is what the papers are running with

Likely to cost me my WC this Costa injury as gambled on a Jovetic - 4 already, heartbreak.

I reckon I'll do the same. Rumours are anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks to 3 months. I saw one tweet that said it would be his third hamstring injury this year.

Twitter is agog with Costa, hamstring and out for 4-6 weeks talk. Not sure how reputable it is yet. Tony Leen (Irish Examiners sport editor) retweeting a link though and some of the FPL pages so reckon something in it.

The Jovetic saga of last night ain't looking too hot for those who did it, although Austin needed shifting anyway!

Will see can I hang on till GW closes to WC, depending on how any shift him and how soon he drops.

Some tweets suggesting up to ten weeks. This page has a screenshot of the story The Sun will allegedly be running:

Just a number of us debating bringing him in before he rose in price last night.

I sort of know what way I want to set up anyway so it could be a good time to do it. Doesnt seem to be much hope of making money on wildcards the way the price changes are going so no real lose in activating it late and cant see too many major transfers between now and monday. Will sleep on it anyway.

I also know. I'll be going 3-4-3 with Ade up front. Had planned for Costa and Aguero with him but it'll now be Rooney and Aguero. Midfield will be Ramsey, Fab, Siggy and either Mata or Sterling. I just need to work out defence so I can fit Lloris in.

The Adebayor bus replacement service could be leaving a week or 2 earlier than anticipated.

yep lloris is a great GK option. Ill be something similar defo on ade will probably have sturridge over rooney and mata over sterling.

Wow, I dodged a bullet there (was considering a 4 point hit to bring in Costa for Giroud).

2FT Costa and Henderson out, Aguero and a 4.5m midfielder in.

I need to get rid of Giroud and have £1.3m in the bank, thoughts?

Tricky price range for strikers but I think Adebayor is the best in that range. There's a lot going for Jovetic but I fear that will end in tears when he inevitably gets bench. Adebayor's the main man at Spurs who should do well under Pochettino and is the best long term option outside of the big hitters..

On a sidenote giroud could be great value towards the end of the season if his price plummets and Arsenal don't sign another striker. You'd expect they will but you never know with Wenger.

Feckin Costa injured now too. Costa --> Aguero looking likely for me now.

    Strongly considering Costa to Aguero.

Will have to move out both Giroud and Costa now. Luckily have 2 ft

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,734 ✭✭✭zarquon

Hmmm, plans scuppered. Either Costa to Aguero or Costa to Ade. Not sure what to do. Glad i had 2 FT this week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,399 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

Already made transfer so debating whether to do Costa to Aguero for -4 or just play the wildcard and sort out other areas while I'm at it. Lloris probably going to rise tonight and was considering him instead of Begovic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,238 ✭✭✭qwabercd

It's unlikely as he seems to see him as more of a playmaker, but if Jose went for Fabregas in the false 9 role he'd be a must have in the short term. Wouldn't have too much confidence in Drogba or Torres up front for Chelsea.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,762 ✭✭✭jive

I'm going Costa --> Aguero once the injury is confirmed from somewhere more reliable than The Sun. Will captain Aguero this weekend, probably won't start but if he does it could be a massive differential and if he doesn't i'd still expect returns given the form he's in atm

With Giroud out and Sanchez playing up front, would consider a switch to 3-5-2:

    Ramsey Siggy Fab Sterling Sanchez
    Aguero Ade

No United cover an issue but could easily switch Fab to Mata if needs be.
