    Jez, that's expensive.

I didn't think it was going to be that expensive.

Is there any recommended brands or suppliers?

990 all in for 12'6 slats including a strip of rubber for 1 foot toe space along the barrier. That was 2 years ago for easy-fix mats.

I did a 4 bay 16' slats about 4 years ago there was a 40% grant at time after vat and grant it cost me about 2400 I think. About 4100+ vat I think was price. Did a small bit of labour(power hosed shed). It was easy fix mats. As I had a good slope on the toe area there was no need for mats and they could nopt be fixed anyway.

Without grant would be reluctant in beef to spend same. Even with grant am not sure that I should have. Can understand if you had cows that you might do a few pens for older cows or for calves.

slat rubber went up massively last year. 1400 per bay for a 16 ft with 10 ft 6 slat and 18" toe area. i couldnt see the benefit being recouped. i'm just culling anything with bad feet instead.

Sorry to dig up a old thread ...
Was wondering has any one thought of using cow mats and cutting the slots into them to suit the slats
