Does unlocking your phone invalidate the warranty?

I am thinking of switching to 48 from o2. I think I saw somewhere that unlocking your phone invalidate your warranty, does this apply to a code you get from your network (ie o2)?

So getting the unlock code from o2 wouldn't invalidate the warranty? I just don't want to unlock it if the warranty won't be valid as my phone has had some issues.

That's great, thanks! Just wondering if anyone knows if I unlock my phone and then reset it (or something like that), does it stay unlocked?

Network unlocking your phone does not affect your warranty. But if your phone is still under initial contract your provider might not provide the code yet to unlock it.

Unlocking your bootloader and rooting the phone may invalidate the warranty.
