    Hi all

Thinking of booking a short trip to Glasgow over Christmas/New Years, and prices look decent. The only thing is, is there much to do in Glasgow over the holidays? I can't really seem to get a clear picture from Googling. Is new years much of a thing there?

Also, we're a little concerned, I'm not exactly wrapped in bubble wrap, but is Glasgow a bit rough? or is that a bit of a myth? Or is it like dublin is a bit rough?

    Thanks in advance!

I was there once in early December visiting a friend.
My mate didn't have much to show me in terms of sights..

I found the city rough enough at night time but didn't have any issues at all.. Appeared to be plenty of police around...
If you speak to any locals there, I bet my life they will ask you if you are 'celtic or rangers'.
If I got a few quid for the amount of times I got asked the weekend I was there, it would have covered my flights!

    Have you considered Edinburgh?

Have considered Edinburgh but the hotel prices are ridiculous.
