Sleeping with the lights on is much the same as watching the telly with your eyes closed - absolutely fúcking pointless. Also I heard before that it's very bad for your eyes in the long term, I don't see how it could be, but I read it on the internet so it must be true.

Unless I'm really tired, in which case easily I could fall asleep in the middle of the St Patricks Day parade......

I've seen many such parades around this country which have the effect of putting me to sleep.

Light off, but it's never really that dark in a town. We used to go to my MIL's house in rural Linconshire and that was true dark at night with no street lights. That was great. :)

You spelled milf wrong:D. Milfing weekends in the countryside are good craic alright.

I need total darkness. I hate when people keep leaving the hall light on and it shines through that stupid window over my door

What type of an idiot would sleep with the lights on?

You're asleep, eyes closed, no need for lights.

Suffered insomnia for many years. Nothing worked. Acquired 3 kids. Can now sleep with curtains open, in daylight......

You have to keep your toes under the blanky and then they can't get them.

But if I'm in the house on my own and I hear a noise in the middle of the night - light on!
So that if someone breaks into your room, they'll immediately be able to see you and murder you?
Is it not better to keep the element of surprise, and the slight advantage you might have in knowing the layout of your room better in the dark?
Unless you mean hearing noises that could be rats or giants spiders scuttling about your room..
