Leave the place as you found it. As in, turn off lights, unplug phone charger, close windows, and close doors. You're 19, you should know this stuff by now.

If you want a loan of something, that's grand. But, bring it back when you say you'll bring it back, and put it back where you got it. Don't have me ringing to remind you, and eventually having to call over for said borrowed item, without a word of thanks.

    Mammy, is that you? :pac:

    Ah whats wrong? :(

I'm having a tough time financially right now. I'm totally broke for the next 9 days and all I want is a couple of pairs of knitting needles so I can occupy my mind and hands with some yarn that someone was sweet enough to give me.

It sucks that I cannot even afford a couple of pairs of even the cheapest knitting needles.

I know ...first world problems and all but I really miss knitting and being stuck in the house with a disability doesn't help any.

    :(

When chat show guests do that "hilarious" pretend-to-walk-off gag, then turn around and scurry back to their seats smiling and laughing.

    It's never funny!

    :(

I wear mine all the time in case I get lost. It has my name on it and the company I work for, so I can be easily escorted back to the office when someone finds me.

    It's really handy.

Guilty as well. I can't open the doors without it! (And it's handy for cutting cocaine with... :P )

That's horrible Lizzie. It's not a lot of consolation, but a lot of people are struggling these days, I know we do sometimes with more going out than coming in. Still, we've got a roof over our heads and food in the fridge, that's a lot more than many people have.:)

It's okay. Some very kind, sweet and generous ladies have offered to send me knitting needles. :)

    I could cry. :o

    This is very true. :)

I don't normally get depressed but for some reason I was having a pity party last night. Sorry that I took you all with me. :o

Sometimes we all need a bit of a pity party. It keeps us sane. :)

That kitchen towel ad, the one with the guy cleaning a manky cat flap with 1 sheet of kitchen towel. What a load of boll*x. We have a cat flap and there's not a snowball's in Hell that a single sheet of any paper towel would clean it. That 1 sheet would have fallen apart as soon as it was damp. Speaking of cat related things I must go and get one of ours in his carrier, off to the vet soon.

Must be something in the water :( I'm feeling really fed up today and everyone is getting on my nerves.

LizzieJones I'm delighted to hear that people are so kind and generous.

Pumpkinseeds good luck with the vet

I think I have a cold or something. My eyes are stinging me and I was wrecked yesterday and went to bed at 12.30 and could barely get up at 8.45 this morning.

By Cheeses we had a big oul' madam of a Persian before and the one thing that struck fear into me was the prospect of having to get the wagon into the cat-box!

I've just come out of a meeting (nothing related to this forum) where the repeated message was 'Mods are bad'.

    I am bad.

yea same here, just feel wrecked and my eyes are annoying me, had abit of sore throat yesterday but nothing worse today. strange....

Fecking iTunes library refusing to upload the artwork for some CDs. Thus, lots of album artwork interspersed with the odd blank square.

I admit this probably annoys me more than it should.

Boom Bap Whose bad ? ;-)
I now have Michael Jackson's Bad on my internal jukebox.

The music nerd in me loves the bassline in Bad. Also, the opening line of the song is like something that you would probably hear on your first day in prison:

"Your Butt Is Mine, Gonna Take You Right"

I found a great 'hack' once to get around that. Google is your friend my friend.

Boombap lol never knew that was the 1st line. It's a great pop song. I know Michael Jackson had a lot of issues but he really knew how to write a great pop song.

Just back from the vets, Felix was putting the charm on the vet with a purr fest. He's fine, just needs some drops in his ears for a bit. There was a very bad polyp in one of his ears when he arrived, will never forget the stench from his ear, it grew all the way through his ear drum and the vet got as much of it as she could but will never be able to get the root, so he has flare ups from time to time.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,241 ✭✭✭MsBubbles

ah poor Felix. Hopefully he'll be feeling better soon.

I don't think that he done much of the writing! He was more involved in the cadence and repetition. One of his more notable and memorable lines that he wrote is:

Mama say mama sa mama coosa

If any can tell me what that means they get a blue peter badge. Aparently, he just like what it sounded like and recorded it.

His songs are riddled with questionable lyrics

    Bubbles, is that really you?

I thought you were still in Neverland, or had been sold to the circus
