Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A point is all that you can sco-oo-oore,
Working for the black gas, etc.

Richard 'That Ain't Bread' Osman presents a brand new quiz show...Two Tribes!

Starts tomorrow evening (18th. August) at 6pm on BBC2 NI.

The fast-paced quiz show where what contestants have in common is just as important as their general knowledge.

Being a fan of the ole 'Pointless', I can't wait!

Will be interesting to see how the Osmeister will cope without his comedy 'foil' Lord Xander Of Armstrong III :pac:

    :)

I hope it's good. But not so good that Pointless gets cancelled or changes presenters.

I hope one of the adrenalin junkies actually has a substance abuse problem and has been caught stealing adrenaline and syringes from the local hospital.

"No, Richard. I'm actually horribly depressed about being single. Thanks for bringing that up on national TV."

No fun with answering questions here, it's too fast.

It's a bit weird dividing them as singles/ presumably 'in a relationship' is the other side.

It doesn't have the playability of Pointless for sure. Also there's something a little off putting seeing Richard stand up.

The o in the Two Tribes logo looks like the Vodafone symbol. Cheeky.

Not sure they needed another quiz show, there's so many on already.

I think he's better at being sarcastic and giving out random facts rather than doing the chit chat with the contestants.

I'm a bit disappointed that Richard chose this for his solo gig. (And him being a proper TV Producer and all that)

I suppose you have to give shows a chance, but so far it's like dozens of forgettable daytime gameshows. Nothing special.

Ya I make the effort to watch Pointless unless I'm working etc. I'm not impressed by this, it's very flat. It'll be something that I watch if I happen to be flicking through the channels and there's nothing else on.

If anyone else was presenting (besides Alexander) i'd have turned off long time ago. Pretty ropey premise for a show really.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,259 ✭✭✭✭Welsh Megaman

I'm waiting for the following questions:

    I own a blow-up doll
    I stalk people
    I killed my neighbours dog

It's like when Larry Sanders was off sick and Hank Kingsley got to present the show.

I'd much rather have a show where Richard take the p!ss out of their choices more indepth with more interesting questions, forget the quiz aspect of it.

    From Richard's twitter...

Hope you like Two Tribes at 6 on BBC2, I'm very proud of it. Don't forget every reviewer except @BothersBar slagged off the first Pointless!

Not good enough to make me miss either really old, good Simpson's that I've seen tens of times or the crappy new ones.

To quote Ned from current episode it's a bit shoddilydoddily.

    Nice prize!

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,305 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Prodston

    What?

Why not just give them £1000?

As the old sheanfhocail goes: "Ní hé sin arán, go tósta"

Or in English: "That ain't bread, that's toast"

I missed the end, the phone rang. What did they win?

She had a choice between £1000 of theatre tickets, or £1000 to spend on travel - she chose the travel.

It's not too bad, Richard is really likeable. It doesn't suit a thread on here in the same way that Pointless does, though, because it goes too fast.
